Naga new year festival is usually celebrated in mid-January . Mostly held at Lahe, Layshi and Sagaing Township which is located in north-west Myanmar, high in the mountains near the border of India. The Naga Tribe festival meaning of the anticipatory of good health, wealth, happiness, good climate and good crops for the coming New Year. The Naga tribes have more than 49 costumes and their own languages. They are belong to Chin State.

However, all Naga people are linked by some common customs and languages, including the celebration of the Naga New Year. They wear dancer’s costumes are decorated with hornbill’s feathers and plumes, elephant tusks, canines of Tigers, bears, boars and paws, buffalo horns, shell, horse and goat’s tails. Moreover, they wear silver and bronze beads, bangles, bracelets, pendants, and eardrops. Red, black and green is dominant colors of customs in the festival.
